About me
Tutor Nelbert
Founder of ICI Français Formation / Pinoy Welder
Bonjour! I’m Nelbert, founder of ICI Français Formation. When I moved to Québec in 2019, learning French felt overwhelming. I studied part time, practised through everyday conversations, and kept going after my first TCF result fell short of my goal. I later reached Level 10.
That experience shapes how I teach. I use clear English and Tagalog explanations when they help, then guide students to practise and speak more independently in French. My goal is to make every class a supportive place where you can ask questions, try, make mistakes, and build confidence using French in real life.
About me
Tutor Bianca
Accountant · CPA Auditor
Hi! I'm Bianca!
By day, I work as an accountant and CPA Auditor. You’ll often find me playing tennis, hiking outdoors, singing, or dancing—anything that brings energy and joy to my day.
I have a dog named Adobo!
I immersed myself in a French-speaking community while attending CEGEP and university in Quebec. Being surrounded by French in both my academic and everyday life allowed me to develop and strengthen my French-language skills naturally through regular use and interaction.
I want to give back to the community by helping our fellow Filipinos in Canada learn and improve their French-language skills. I hope to create a welcoming and supportive environment where they can learn, build confidence, and feel more comfortable communicating in their everyday lives.
About me
Tutor Julius
Restaurant Manager · Musician
I moved to Canada 10 years ago to reunite with my mother, along with my father and two siblings. Before moving to Canada, I attended Saint Louis University in Baguio City and also studied at Mary Help of Christians Seminary.
I obtained my Level 7 certification through the francisation program.
I am currently working as a Restaurant Manager. Outside of work, I enjoy music and consider myself a musician. I also love spending time with dogs, going camping, and playing video games.
Fun fact: I almost became a priest! XD
My approach and strategies
When working with students, I prefer a more direct and personalized approach. I take the time to understand each student's individual needs and circumstances before deciding on the best way to support them. I also conduct evaluations to better understand their strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement.
To make learning more engaging and interactive, I use tools to create activities and quizzes. I can also add videos, presentations, and other learning materials. I enjoy creating my own quizzes to make sure the content is relevant and tailored to the students I am working with.
For me, the goal is not only to deliver information but also to create an interactive and supportive learning experience that responds to each student's personal needs.
About me
Tutor Megan
Nurse Meg · Health-care worker
Bonjour! Je m’appelle Megan. You can call me “Nurse Meg”, and I’m originally from the Philippines. I currently live and work in Montreal, Quebec.
My journey with French started because I wanted to build a life and career as a health care worker in Quebec. I learned through a combination of French classes, self-study, practice, and most importantly, real-life conversations. Working in a French-speaking environment also pushed me to use French regularly and become more comfortable communicating.
When I’m not working, I love reading books, discovering new places, and creating content or vlogging! I’m very excited to be a part of others’ journey to learn French!
